Three-Course Exam

Application and Implementation Requirements for the Three-Course Exam

a) Students who are in the final semester of their academic program (the fourth semester for associate degree programs and the eighth semester for undergraduate programs) and who have fulfilled the attendance requirement for all their courses may benefit from the Three-Course Exam (ÜDS) if they have no more than three courses with grades of C-, D+, D, D-, or F.

b) Students who do not have any failing grades but cannot meet the minimum GPA requirement of 2.00 for graduation may benefit from the ÜDS for up to three courses graded C-, D+, D, or D-. However, students who would still not meet the minimum GPA requirement of 2.00 even if they score the highest grade (A) in these exams are not eligible to take the ÜDS.

c) Students in their final semester who meet the conditions described in items (a) and (b), but who have failed or not yet completed their compulsory internship, are also eligible to take the ÜDS.

ç) Students may not take the ÜDS for courses they have never taken or for courses they failed due to absenteeism.

d) The ÜDS cannot be taken for practical courses, vocational skills training, workplace-based vocational training, internships, applied workplace courses, teaching practice, projects, design courses, and graduation/thesis projects. Students who have not completed or who have failed these types of courses are not eligible to take the ÜDS.

e) Students who are not officially enrolled at the University — such as special students or exchange program students — but who are taking courses at our University, are not entitled to the Three-Course Exam.
